Nutrifec Services

Chloe Lewis MSc …… My passion for horses started at the age of 3, when I began lessons at my local riding school. I was lucky enough to own my first pony when I was 5 and my passion grew from there. An opportunity to study an equine module through a diploma in environmental and land base studies became available as an option for GCSE and I knew I had to enrol. From there my passion for equine health started. I studied a level three extended diploma in horse management at Reaseheath college, qualifying with distinction and being awarded for best equine student of 2014. I continued my studies at Reaseheath college and start a BSc (hons) in equine science through Harper Adams university. Studying this degree at the university centre of Reaseheath allowed me to develop my understanding of equine health and performance. Graduating with a first class honours degree, I decided to continue on the academic path and start a Masters degree in equine science at Aberystwyth University, where I graduated with merit. My studies, research, and work placements (in multiple equine sectors from event yards to veterinary and breeding practices) have allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of optimising equine health and performance. I have gone from working as a stable lass at a racing yard to now being a stallionhandler/ groom at a showjumping stud. Having a career and hobby of horses, I understand how important it is to ensure your horses are happy and healthy without breaking the bank. I have set up Nutrifec to provide you with an affordable mobile worm egg count and weigh bridge services and to share the latest findings relating to equine worms and nutrition. To improve the quality of service I provide, I will be undertaking AMTRA SQP exams later this year to be able to provide you with advice on the best treatment for your horse.
