Lets start with why do they ride like crazy people.? Riding your horse or pony is one of the most exciting things a horse person can do. So if you have friends who do the same its a great way to spend your day.
Being in a group and getting your horses ready to go out is really what equine people are all about. Load up your horse box or trailer and away you go, off to the beach or over to the wide open places of parkland.
All the crazy riders are fully experienced in all aspects of horsemanship and riding. Before going out on any hack or ride they always check the equipment and make sure it is safe to use. Horses are groomed and feet cleaned, then tack is checked before putting it on the horses or pony, making sure the ride goes well and keeps everyone as safe as possible. Crazy Riders Tree Trimming Morning
Riding out in the woods and forest can be dangerous sometimes when tree spikes and branches are hanging low. So our happy riders decided to spend a morning along Lower Raby cutting back the lower branches to make if safe to ride. Doing it all on horseback to get a good height was the best plan of action, it was also good for the horse to learn how to stand and wait while the riders went about lopping and chopping. Well done girls you saved the day for everyone to ride safely.
